We lead efforts to ensure PWDs enjoy equal rights and opportunities, as enshrined in Kenya’s Constitution and international conventions. By engaging in policy advocacy, raising awareness, and challenging stigma and discrimination, we amplify the voices of PWDs to create an inclusive society where their needs are integrated into public services and policymaking.
Education being a fundamental right, we work to ensure children with disabilities have access to inclusive education. By advocating for equitable school placements and supporting retention through special learning materials and teacher training on disability inclusivity, we help reduce dropout rates and support long-term educational success for students with disabilities.
A key focus for us is promoting social inclusion for individuals facing incontinence challenges, particularly PWDs and older persons. We provide diapers and other incontinence management solutions to restore dignity and improve quality of life. We also supply assistive devices, such as wheelchairs and hearing aids, to enhance mobility and independence, fostering active community participation.
Social inclusion and mental health for individuals with disabilities affected by incontinence and their caregivers are deeply intertwined. Comprehensive incontinence management, access to assistive devices, inclusive infrastructure, and mental health support are essential steps to ensure dignity, reduce social isolation, and improve the overall quality of life for affected individuals. Investing in these solutions promotes equality and the well-being of vulnerable populations, especially persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
Safe delivery practices are crucial for both disability prevention and HIV/AIDS management. By integrating maternal health interventions with HIV care, we ensure that mothers and newborns receive comprehensive services. This reduces the risk of disabilities from birth complications and prevents HIV transmission from mother to child.
Economic independence is central to our mission. Through vocational training, skills development, and access to resources, we provide PWDs and their caregivers with opportunities to engage in income-generating activities. We also advocate for inclusive employment policies and collaborate with businesses to create meaningful employment opportunities, helping reduce poverty and promote self-sufficiency among marginalized groups
