PARTNERSHIPS
Partnership in Advocacy & Communication (Dubbed -DuNo )
DuNo is an Advocacy ideology that focuses on conventional rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and sustainable development goals(SDG’s).The DuNo underscores the following facets;
Understanding Disability & Its conditions|:-Our community has not impressed persons with disabilities due to lack of knowledge and understanding that have greatly influenced discrimination and isolation of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs.)
Data and Resource Distribution|:- Data is an integral component of decision making to determine resource distribution for service delivery to citizens. Persons with disabilities lack essential services due to inconsistency data that seems conflicting accuracy of the true numbers registered in Kenya.
Disability rights and constitutionalism|:-Our constitution enshrines lots of gains towards persons with disabilities, which are also amplified in conventional rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) with well documented guidelines that champion for persons with disabilities inclusion and sustainable development goals (SDGs). Observance of human rights and public participation are basic fundamental principles that must be observed and enjoyed by everyone to promote inclusivity agenda.
Education on sexual gender based violence (SGBV) towards persons with disabilities in reporting channels and HIV/AIDS Counseling |: Persons with disabilities have fallen victims of SGBV by being taken advantage of their weak point of their disability. Women and girls with disabilities experience unique forms of violence, including when perpetrators withhold medications or assistive devices or decline to assist with tasks of daily living. Many persons with disabilities may also lack access to sexuality aids education, which might otherwise help them to identify and prevent abuse, and face increased barriers to access justice and report violence, leading to impunity for perpetrators. Women with disabilities are more likely to experience poverty and isolation due to economic violence and financial barriers that affect them accessing financial services.

Partnership in Therapy and rehabilitation Services
As per our findings, therapy is a serious challenge to children with disabilities that needs it on a regular basis in terms of affordability, accessibility and substantiality. Distance from therapy centers, transportation from one point to the station with wheelchairs which is also paid for as a passenger, meaning if you have a big child you has to pay for three (3) seats including the wheelchair. It’s also strenuous and fatigue for parents carrying their old enough and heavy children form one point to another for therapy services on their back and pay therapy service subscriptions which proofs as not sustainable for unemployed caregivers. Victims of Gender based violence who are girls and women with disabilities and their families go through a lot of mental torture that need a specialist at a safe and conducive environment for interaction to overcome the horrific situation. A rescue center of GBV will provide a better environment for Psychosocial support from professionals Psychiatrists to addresses a person’s emotional, social, mental and spiritual needs. This will create all essential elements of positive human development of acceptance and offers life skills trainings for economic empowerment.
We call upon your partnership in;
